So, fellow gem gals….. let’s be honest with each other. Raise your hand if you ACTUALLY watch the awards shows. So…. confession time: I get way more excitement out of the red carpet arrivals! How about you? I love seeing the dresses and the jewelry! The Golden Globes this year did not disappoint!

Let me tell you, it was SO hard to narrow down my list to just ten! I tried to pick jewelry with a little color to it. I love diamonds just like everyone else, but they’re not very exciting when everyone has diamond earrings and necklaces. For this reason, I did not choose Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams, Kirsten Bell, or Emma Stone, even though they ALL had completely dreamy jewelry. Because there was so much more amazing jewelry than I could include in this post, I started a board on Pinterest. Feel free to take a look, or let me know in the comments what you think. For now, here you go, my own personal Top 10 List

10. Mandy Moore.

Her earrings, by Neil Lane, were simply exquisite, and I loved how she wore no necklace to accentuate them.

9. Gal Gadot.

My children are already in love with this woman because she plays Wonder Woman. But check out that gorgeous necklace!

8. Praya Lundberg.

This woman is is a famous Thai actress and model. I thought her choice of earrings was lovely and unusual. And like Mandy Moore, no necklace, which just highlights the exquisite earrings.

7. Natalie Portman.

Natalie is my one exception to the list for dripping diamonds everywhere (all by Tiffany, some modern but a c. 1910 vintage bracelet). I thought she looked beautiful and classy, and that’s hard to do when you’re clearly pretty pregnant.

6. Ross Matthews.

Ross! So thrilled to have you on my list! A man who is unafraid to rock the brooch trend with a completely beautiful bumblebee. THANK YOU for showing the way. Lead on, my friend.

5. Ruth Negga

This lady made the list because of her gorgeous Fred Leighton golden cuff bracelet, you know, the one with the jaw-droopingly large ruby on it. 25 carats, folks!!! She was nominated for Best Actress for her star turn in Loving.

4. Blake Lively.

OK, if I’m being totally honest I must tell you I have a love/hate relationship with Blake Lively. It’s not anything overly complicated, just complete jealousy. Because she seems so perfectly perfect. ALL THE TIME. Who does that?! And why?!

But really, those OMG-where-did you-find-such-huge-emerald-bracelets (by who else but Lorraine Schwartz) were like nothing I had ever seen before! Just one would have done it. But TWO, and perfectly coordinated, to boot. Well done, Blake. Those were stunning.   $7 million stunning…..

3. Octavia Spencer.

This woman totally rocked a gorgeous navy pantsuit, and then paired it with STATEMENT earrings and gorgeous emerald ring (40 carats!!!) by Lorraine Schwartz. A star!

2. Emily Ratajkowski.

I saw the jewelry and was like WOW, I MUST find out who this woman is. Well, she’s a successful a model and actress. You may remember her from playing Ben Affleck’s mistress in Gone Girl.

1. Tracee Ellis Ross.

This woman is the bomb! I love a woman who has the confidence to wear a ring on every finger! You go girl! And they actually looked pretty damn coordinated too. The 12 rings are by Noudar, Payal Shah and Hueb.

Honorable Mention: Michelle Williams.

OK, I know you don’t technically SEE Michelle wearing any metal jewelry. But that choker! Elegant, simple, perfect. Bravo, Michelle!

Honorable Mention: Janelle Monae.

Hair jewelry! All those little pearls everywhere. I love it!
